Political cooperation between Georgia and Kazakhstan is of great importance, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated during his meeting with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Astana.
As Irakli Kobakhidze noted, strengthening the partnership with Kazakhstan is one of Georgia’s foreign policy priorities.
"Mr. President, it is a great honor for me to be in Kazakhstan. I sincerely thank you for your hospitality in your country. This is one of my first visits after the parliamentary elections, which demonstrates our special interest in strengthening cooperation, partnership, and friendship between our countries and peoples. This friendship is based on strong historical and traditional roots. Therefore, strengthening this partnership is one of Georgia’s foreign policy priorities.
Political cooperation between our countries is of great significance to us. I express my gratitude to you personally and to Kazakhstan for supporting our sovereignty and territorial integrity. Further deepening of our political cooperation through various formats is also extremely important. We would be very pleased to welcome you to our country," Irakli Kobakhidze stated.
