In terms of governance effectiveness, Georgia surpasses all EU candidates, 17 EU and NATO member states, and one G7 member state.

These countries include: Slovenia, Iceland, Belgium, Italy, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Turkey, Slovakia, Malta, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Latvia, Romania, and North Macedonia.

Governance effectiveness was assessed based on the World Economic Forum's study according to the following criteria:

Quality of general infrastructure, Quality of road infrastructure, Quality of railway infrastructure, Quality of port infrastructure, Quality of air transport infrastructure, Quality of primary education.

The updated rating, based on the World Economic Forum’s Global Competitiveness study, was exclusively published by the World Bank as part of the Global Governance Indicators project.
