The Department of Highways of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has shared information about the current road situation.

According to the Department of Highways, traffic for vehicles with trailers and semi-trailers has been restored on the Gudauri–Kobi section of the Mtskheta–Stepantsminda–Lars international highway.

"According to the National Environment Agency, traffic on the Gudauri–Kobi and Stepantsminda–Lars sections is being carried out in a continuous passage mode.

On the Gudauri–Kobi section, vehicle traffic is permitted on bypass roads around the first, third, fourth, and fifth avalanche protection tunnels. However, traffic on the bypass road of the second tunnel is prohibited.

For vehicles with trailers and semi-trailers on the Gudauri–Kobi section, traffic inside the second tunnel is carried out in a one-way mode," the statement says.
