The FIFA World Cup begins today. The tournament will open with a match between the national teams of Mexico and South Africa.

The game will take place in Mexico City at the legendary Azteca Stadium at 11:00 PM Tbilisi time. Before the match, the World Cup opening ceremony will be held.

The World Cup will run from June 11 to July 19. For the first time in the tournament’s history, it is being jointly hosted by three countries: the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The opening match will be played in Mexico City, while the tournament will feature matches across 16 host cities in the three countries.

Instead of the traditional 32 teams, 48 national teams will take part in the competition. A total of 104 matches will be played, making it the largest World Cup ever and setting a new record in the tournament’s history.

The opening match between Mexico and South Africa is scheduled for June 11 at Mexico City Stadium (Azteca), officially kicking off the tournament.
