The National Environment Agency has released a weather forecast for Georgia for July 22–24.
According to the agency, in the coming days, some regions of the country can expect short rain showers and thunderstorms amid high temperatures. In mountainous and highland areas, heavy rain is possible in some places, along with hail and temporary strengthening of wind.
In Tbilisi, short rain with thunderstorms and wind intensification is possible at night. Daytime temperatures will reach +36 to +38°C.
In coastal regions (Batumi, Kobuleti, Anaklia, Poti): occasional short rain with thunderstorms and stronger winds. Daytime temperatures will range from +29 to +31°C.
In the lowland areas of Western Georgia (Zestafoni, Kutaisi, Samtredia, Zugdidi, Martvili, Ozurgeti): occasional short rain with thunderstorms and wind strengthening. Daytime temperatures will be +32 to +34°C.
In the mountainous areas of Western Georgia (Ambrolauri, Oni, Tsageri, Shovi, Chiatura, Sachkhere, Khulo, Rikoti Pass): occasional short rain with thunderstorms and wind strengthening. Daytime temperatures will range from +31 to +33°C.
In the high-mountain regions of Western Georgia (Mestia, Bakhmaro): occasional short rain with thunderstorms and wind strengthening. Daytime temperatures will be +27 to +32°C.
In Kartli (Rustavi, Bolnisi, Marneuli, Gardabani, Gori, Tskhinvali): occasional short rain with thunderstorms and wind strengthening; hail is also possible. Daytime temperatures will be +36 to +38°C.
In Kakheti (Sagarejo, Telavi, Gurjaani, Sighnagi, Lagodekhi, Kvareli, Akhmeta, Dedoplistskaro): occasional short rain with thunderstorms and wind strengthening; hail is also possible. Daytime temperatures will be +36 to +38°C.
In the mountainous regions of Eastern Georgia (Akhaltsikhe, Borjomi, Dusheti, Tianeti, Pasanauri): short rain with thunderstorms and wind strengthening, hail possible in some areas. Daytime temperatures will range from +31 to +33°C.
