"Take a look at the archives to see what Sergo Ordzhonikidze wrote in 1921, and I assure you, you will find almost the same thing that Zuraab Djaparidze is writing today," said Shalva Papuashvili, the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia.

According to him, there is still an attempt today to establish a puppet regime in Georgia.

"Probably, it will be interesting to look at the archives to see what Sergo Ordzhonikidze wrote in 1921, and I assure you, you will find interesting parallels. Of course, the era and the tools to achieve goals have changed, but I assure you, you will find almost the same thing that Zuraab Djaparidze writes today. He is the Sergo Ordzhonikidze of the 21st century. He and his like-minded individuals are speaking out against the country where they were born, the territory where they live, and the society they are members of. Ultimately, this is the fate of all puppets.

Back then, there were no social media, but Sergo Ordzhonikidze, through wall newspapers and proclamations, said that an independent government of Georgia was a threat and that it should be part of a common communist and socialist international. The same thing is being told to us today — that Georgia should not be independent, it should be part of a liberal international. It’s exactly the same as the descendants of Sergo Ordzhonikidze.

Just as Sergo Ordzhonikidze was a puppet of a foreign state, these people are also puppets of a foreign state. It doesn’t matter about the capitals or countries, the essence is that to satisfy their political goals, people are willing to sell themselves to other political groups outside their own country. A hundred years ago, this was done with bayonets and tanks, today it is done with sanctions and propaganda. The methods change, but the essence does not. This is an attempt to establish a puppet regime in Georgia. Just like in 1921, when the Soviet army captured Georgia and the communist international was established here, today, a hundred years later, they want to conquer the Georgian people with sanctions and propaganda, install their puppet regime, and create a liberal international in Georgia," said Shalva Papuashvili.

For reference, the leader of the "Girchi – More Freedom" party, Zuraab Djaparidze, wrote on social media today: "With time, there will be fewer and fewer resources for resistance in the country, time is not working in our favor, and therefore, Rustaveli becomes more and more important every day."
