RMG has unveiled the participants for the 2024 Summer School, marking the sixth iteration of this practical program. This year, the program extends its reach by including students from both the Technical University of Georgia and Tbilisi State University for the first time.

Out of 26 students selected for their exemplary academic achievements and motivation, 19 hail from the Faculty of Mining and Geology at the Technical University, and 7 from the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences at Tbilisi State University, specializing in Geology.

During an informational meeting at the RMG Mining and Geological Technology Center, students were briefed on the project details, its progression, and the concluding event scheduled for September. This event will feature presentations by participants and an awards ceremony.

Launched in 2018, the RMG Summer School is a paid, one-month internship available during the summer break, providing practical experience at RMG’s Kazreti district operations. Students will be placed in various production structural units relevant to their field of study, including geology, drilling technologies, mineral processing, surveying, geotechnics, and mining technologies.

This initiative is designed to maximize the students' practical exposure by applying their academic knowledge to real-world scenarios within the enterprise setting.

As part of its commitment to corporate responsibility, RMG adheres to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing the promotion of quality education. The company actively supports educational initiatives, including student programs conducted in partnership with higher education institutions, to foster practical learning and development.
