Georgia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Bochorishvili, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.
Within the framework of the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting, Georgia’s Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili held a meeting with her Azerbaijani counterpart, Jeyhun Bayramov.
The sides discussed the close strategic partnership between Georgia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the agenda of bilateral cooperation.
The positive dynamics of the exchange of visits—both at the high level and between sectoral agencies—were noted with satisfaction.
Special attention was given to the importance of the trilateral regional cooperation between Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey, the need to implement joint strategic projects, and the full utilization of the region’s transit and transport potential. Emphasis was placed on the significance of the “Middle Corridor” and enhanced connectivity between the countries.
Issues of cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan within international organizations were also discussed.
The parties reaffirmed their readiness to continue supporting the development of the existing strategic partnership in accordance with the interests of both countries.
