Officers of the Adjara Main Division of the Central Criminal Police Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs have detained a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye who was wanted under an Interpol Red Notice. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
“The detainee was wanted at the request of the law enforcement authorities of the Republic of Türkiye for various serious crimes. As a result of investigative measures carried out, law enforcement officers arrested the convicted individual in Batumi.
At present, extradition procedures предусмотрed by law are underway regarding the detainee,” the ministry stated.
