At an expanded-format meeting held at the Presidential Palace of Kyrgyzstan, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze thanked Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov for the warm reception and emphasized the importance of high-level visits for the further development of bilateral relations. The two sides discussed the existing potential for deepening cooperation across various sectors.

“Mr. President, despite the long history of relations between our peoples and countries, this is the first highest-level visit between our two nations. We very much hope that this visit will give new momentum to strengthening relations between our countries. Our nations are connected by good political and economic ties, and there is potential for further deepening them. We aim to strengthen cooperation not only in political and economic areas, but also in culture and education. Taking this opportunity, I would like to thank you and your country for supporting Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Irakli Kobakhidze stated.

President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov also emphasized the importance of the Georgian Prime Minister’s official visit.

“Mr. Prime Minister, your official visit opens a new chapter in the history of bilateral relations. I am confident that today’s meeting will contribute to further deepening political, economic, humanitarian, and cultural ties. Under your leadership, important reforms have been implemented in Georgia’s socio-economic sphere. We express our readiness to further deepen cooperation in trade, economic, and infrastructure directions, as well as in international formats, and we are interested in sharing your successful experience. I am convinced that today’s discussion will bring concrete practical results,” Sadyr Japarov said.

The meeting also highlighted the potential for partnership in the transport and logistics sectors, and both sides expressed readiness to further develop cooperation in these areas.

Following the meeting, memorandums of cooperation in various fields were signed between the two countries. Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and President Sadyr Japarov signed a joint statement confirming their readiness to further develop bilateral relations across a wide range of areas.
