Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth Givi Mikanadze said that, starting today, delivery of school uniforms for 1st-graders has been launched to the centers where parents will be able to purchase them from 1 to 14 September.
Givi Mikanadze explained that at least one center would be opened in each city and municipality of Georgia. He also reminded that a certain category of pupils would receive school uniforms free of charge.
The Minister further clarified that an online platform would be activated starting next week to order uniforms online.
“Various banks offer preferential cashback policies for retail and online purchases, and detailed information regarding this will also be available shortly. We would like to once again remind the public of the selling price for these uniforms: a suit for a girl or a boy costs 45 GEL, a skirt or trousers cost 25 GEL. This price includes costs related to production, transportation, logistics, and sales, but no profit,” he said.
