As part of the Batumi bypass road construction project, a 14-kilometer, 2-lane asphalt-concrete road has been completed. The project also includes the construction of 20 bridges and 5 tunnels.

The Batumi bypass is a key section of the West-East European route (E70), which starts in Spain and passes through 8 countries before ending in Poti, Georgia. This international corridor plays a crucial role in strengthening trade relations between Western and Eastern Europe, promoting tourism, and enhancing cultural exchanges.
